This 5-day journey takes you through three states and some of the most famous riding roads in America. From Atlanta, we’ll ride into the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, tackle the legendary Tail of the Dragon (318 curves in just 11 miles), cruise through the Blue Ridge Mountains, and explore Snake Road and the Cherokee Mountains .
Our base for the trip will be the Hampton Inn Gatlinburg Historic Nature Trail, where riders can relax after full days of adventure .
Itinerary

Arrival at Atlanta Airport (before 1 PM). Group transfer and ride to Pigeon Forge (212 miles through the mountains).

North Carolina Loop (250 miles) – Ride the world-famous Tail of the Dragon.

Tennessee Loop (250 miles) – Explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

NC–TN Loop (250 miles) – Snake Road and Cherokee Mountains.

Return ride from Pigeon Forge to Atlanta Airport (212 miles). Departure after 1 PM.
Motorcycle Rentals

A true adventure bike built for mixed road and off-road terrain. 689cc parallel twin (DOHC, liquid-cooled) giving strong mid-range torque, with a 6-speed transmission and selectable ABS. Wet weight is around 205 kg. It has long-travel suspension (front and rear adjustable), big 21-inch front / 18-inch rear wheels with rally-style tires — you can lean into dirt, gravel, or wet pavement and feel confident. Great for those wanting adventure rides, lots of curves, and exploring back-roads. Smooth engine, decent fuel range, and rugged enough for rough surfaces.

Mid-size, comfortable, very fuel efficient (~60-+ mpg depending on model/conditions). The 670cc parallel twin gives usable torque in the low-to-mid rev range, making it ideal for both highway cruising and slower technical sections. The NC700X version gives you a more upright stance (better for visibility and comfort), while the NC700S is more street-/standard style. If it’s a DCT-equipped model, shifting is simplified (great for those who want less clutch use, especially in traffic or stop-go). Also light enough to manage on twisty roads without fatigue.

Comfortable sport-tourer / cruiser-crossover style. Powered by the same 670 cc parallel twin engine. The CTX700 offers a low seat height (~28.3 in), relaxed ergonomics (forward pegs, wide handlebars), fairing for wind protection, and good fuel economy. The versions with DCT make riding very smooth, especially when you want to relax on long straights or deal with stop-and-go without shifting manually. Best for riders who want comfort, ease, and a mix of highway & scenic roads without the off-road focus.

A sport-touring machine: powerful, good for fast roads, great for riders who want both high performance and comfort. Its V4 engine gives strong power and torque, good top speeds. More weight than the smaller bikes, but excellent stability at speed, great braking & suspension. This is for someone who wants a premium feel, great on highways and sweeping mountain curves. (Less ideal for dirt/gravel or very light weight handling situations.)

The benchmark adventure-tourer. Its 1,170 cc boxer twin with shaft drive and BMW’s Telelever/Paralever suspension delivers a planted, confidence-inspiring ride on twisty pavement and rough backroads alike. The later liquid-cooled (2013–2019) models make about 125 hp, with modern electronics like ABS/ride modes and optional ESA, plus upright ergonomics and solid wind protection for long days in the saddle. Perfect all-rounder for our mountain loops and mixed-surface detours.

The luxury touring flagship. A 1,649cc six-cylinder engine gives incredible smoothness, massive torque, and refined power delivery. Plenty of electronics: adaptive suspension, multiple ride modes, excellent wind protection, huge comfort features, luggage capacity, plush seats. Ideal for long days, two-up riding, and comfort at speed. Great if you want to soak up miles in style and luxury. Hefty, very stable, but not nimble in tight, technical or dirt/gravel sections.
